Added convenience – I purchased this to complete a simpler on-shore charging system for my boat, the kit will work for any situation where you need to periodically charge or maintain 12volt batteries.

Says 2 feet but measures 27 inches Overall – Good heavy duty well constructed, ring eyes fit 5/16 terminal properly. Connector is good. No issues, appreciate the extra few inches of length – 27 inches Overall Length on the ones I received.

Just what I need – I need to keep my boat’s various 12V batteries charged over the winter, but didn’t want to spend a fortune on individual charging systems for each one. While I have a trickle charger that can charge them all, I can still only charge one at a time.

Cheap inferior fuses included. – I found that both 10 amp fuses that came with the harness were defective. They blew as soon as voltage was applied. 12 volt dc quad battery. No load , no additional wiring. No device installed just the harness. Terminated directly to battery . The fuses internal fusible link appeared very thin. I replaced those with buss brand American made fuse. 10 amp. Worked beautifully. Still worth it . Advisory for who ever may need it. Heads up.

Great item for emergency battery backup quick connect – These Quick Connect units make recharging a battery so much easier. A much better solution than the alligator type clamps that are usually clipped to the battery terminals. The only recommendation I have is to include a set of 2 5/16″x1″ bolts, 2 nuts, 4 flat washers and 2 lock washers so the quick connect can be affixed to the battery terminals immediately rather than having to run to the hardware store. I have 3 12V batteries all with the quick connect. They are all interchangeable with my emergency generator and my CPAP backup. Recently I purchased another quick connect that I modified so that my CPAP connection no longer uses alligator clips but a quick connect unit. it required cutting off the alligator clips from the CPAP Unit and the terminal ends on the quick connect. Making sure polarity was correct I spliced the two together, soldered them and taped them. My CPAP now has a quick connect rather than alligator clips, making switching to battery in a power failure at night a lot easier with no worry about connections popping off the battery. The only thing I am adding to this review is that I had to purchase another packet of these because one of my batteries positive terminal acid corroded the connector and broke off. The quick connect has made me a very happy camper.

Hopefully there’s something better – Installed one of these on a car that’s rarely driven to make it easy to keep a trickle charger connected and that went fine. Installed the second one on my truck and one of the ring terminals sheared off while I was tightening the bolt down. The wire actually has a decent silicone insulation which I appreciated but only being able to use one out of a two pack is disappointing.
