– Seem to be a good quality item, however take care when fitting the unit to the mounting plate, it’s very easy to damage the foam seal if you attempt to do it while wearing your helmet. Had to replace the mounting plate, Sena customer service were great when contact the right person and sent a replacement by DHL as still in warranty

Issues with FM – Wanted this unit mainly so I can use my phone’s GPS function on rides. Not that interested in talking on the phone (typically, that’s what I’m trying to get away from when I ride) but I can see where it could come in handy. Also thought the FM radio feature would be nice – maybe checking on traffic, etc.

– Did a lot of research before buying this and can say that I am very pleased with it. Audio quality is extremely good although at higher speeds the volume seems quite low. However, would you really want to feed high volume music into your ears for a couple of hours on end? Paired with my iPhone 6s easily and manages calls and music very well. I use the TomTom GO navigation app and it works brilliantly with this, lowering music volume to give the directions priority. Microphone for a full-face helmet is very good. People I call say it is crystal clear with little discernible wind roar or noise from the bike. One thing I really like is that pressing and holding the phone button brings up Siri and I can just say “Call wife” or whatever.

– Has quirks and instructions basic. Had to go online to make necessary adjustments. When using GPS sound level starts low and gradually increases on its own. No way to set starting volume level. So you miss initial instructions. You have to be listening to music or something else in order to have proper sound level. No instructions on how to fix this problem.

Im kicking myself for not buying this earlier – Too many calls from the wife worried because I have missed several calls and not being able to ride the motorcycle to work if i had a conference call to attend had me looking into the helmet audio systems. I thought about cheaping out but after reading horrible reviews on other generic items, I splurged for the Sena. I was looking at the cheaper model, but HD calling and having a radio tuner built in sold me on this one.
