So easy to put on – I didn’t like the cost. $40 is too much for a face shield replacement. Should be more like $20. I got this helmet new on sale, close out, for $108. Shield shouldn’t be almost 40% off the cost of a helmet. However, it looks great and was so easy to install. Popped the other one off and put this on no problem. 2 min start to finish. Great tip from one reviewer who did you need to remove the black plastic caps on either end 1st. Once I did that, it just popped on and fit perfectly. Cost is the only negative, but not sure that can be helped.

Drop in face shield replacement for EXO-500 – Love the EXO-500 helmet and wish they kept the design. Oh well, I’ll just have to keep this helmet alive as long as I can. The replacement face shield is not an aftermarket item, it is a branded Scorpion product so it went in smooth. I was done in less than a minute start to finish. I think opening the package and removing the protective shrink film took longer than the actual shield change. Definitely need to remove (just pull) the two black plastic covers on the guide pins, however from there it’s an drop in OEM part replacement for your helmet. It’s nice to have clear optics again. I may order another as backup while they are still available for purchase…

Good…but – Scorpion face shield came in a timely manner. Item appeared to be as ordered but I had a terrible time putting it on the helmet. Probably an hour and a half of work. Could put on and take off the old shield with no problem but this new one would keep coming out of the groove on the right side (facing the helmet). I even compared it with another Scorpion 500 helmet to see if I was doing something wrong. I was about to send it back and finally the face shield to stay on. Not sure I’d want to take it off again. Had about a 300 mile ride since. New shield worked OK.
