2 year use review – So I have used this for 2 years now on my 2015 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 ABS. It’s mounted on a ball-joint in the middle of my bar front fork. I used it with a Samsung Galaxy s9+ for about 19 months, then an s22 when I traded that phone in. The X-mount works perfectly, but there are a few caveats that people need to know about. For one, the small rubber grips on the end of each claw are removable, and by that I mean over time they easily pop right off. The fit super tight initially, but after having the bike sit in the sun over time the grip adhesive loosens quite a bit. They still fit well, but when adding and removing your phone, those seem to come off pretty easily. Second is the floppy grip tether that you pull up around the corners of your phone to really secure it. That lasted almost 2 years. I was riding home from work when one of the corners just snapped off. As I’m riding on the highway I see it broke and my phone is about to pop off. Hard to do, steer a motorcycle on the highway with one hand while stopping. As I was pulling my phone off, another corner breaks. Luckily they’re only like $6 for more, but that is worrisome.

Tight fit for iphone 13 – Its a bit small for an iphone 13. Also wish i would’ve know it had the ball on the back. Not socket. I wanted a low profile set up so i also ordered a handlebar mount that had the ball. Now i have to get an extension, which defeats the low profile purpose i was going for, or order something else
