Sold, articulation – I use these mounts in my 4Runner to mount a phone and tablet. These are well made and are basically bullet proof. I know my gear is secure and safe. combined with a ram mount base and the mount for the device, this arm is excellent. It is easy to position it so your device is out of the way, yet visible when you need to use it.

The Bolt is About a Quarter Inch too Long. – I have two of these and both wouldn’t fully grab the ball on either end because the bolt they use bottoms out in the ‘wingnut.’ I ground about 3-4 threads off the bolt; for those without access to a grinder, a few washers would do the trick if you don’t care about the appearance or grab a 1/4″ shorter bolt. With the clamping bolt shortened up this will hold your device without any slippage from your set position.

Quality product – This RAM mount allows sits between a ball clamp base and my insta360 selfie stick on my motorcycle. I’ve taken it for a few rides now and seems to work well under wind and minor vibration. You need a really strong base clamp if you extend the selfie stick out really far.
