It does what it says… keeps the battery at full charge and doesn’t get hot like some chargers – I use it on a car I infrequently use to keep the battery at full charge without overcharging. The car battery would go dead in a week if I didn’t drive it. The battery stays fully charged now.

So many features in a little packge – I own about six of these devices. One of each size (ampacity) Battery chargers have come lightyears from the dumb chargers of the 1960’s which would boil over your battery if you forgot to un plug it. I have yet to have a battery so far gone it needed the de-sulfating feature, but I’m sure it will do the job. It does everything else perfectly. Years ago I bought the NICO-10 and tied 4 AGM boat batteries in parallel to trickle charge over the winter, unattended. Now they make a special 4-outlet charger just for this purpose so you can charge 4 batteries of different types all at once. Can’t say enough good about this product. This is the charger to buy.

Great little charger. – I purchased this to use as a trickle charger. It has been used in this way for some time. Still works great. I also have built a few liFePO4 batteries and used this to charge them. (Verrrry sloooowly). Which was fine it got the job done and charged at the proper rate consistently. I did use it to help revive an old AGM battery and that worked nicely as well. In all this is a great little charger.

Works with Lifepo4 !!! Requires Battery to have a built-in BMS!! – This charger absolutely works for Lithium Iron Phosphate (Lifepo4) batteries, however, make sure your lifepo4 battery has a built-in battery management system (BMS). The documentation clearly states this in multiple locations so this requirement should not be a surprise. I had a 100AH Power Queen Lifepo4 battery that I drained to the point where the BMS had shut the battery down and I could no longer charge or discharge using normal methods. I was in a pickle but this little charger brought it right back to life after a few hours of charging. This is only a 2 amp charger so I would only use this to trickle/float charge a battery or bring it out of a low voltage shutdown mode (such as my use case). I did not have to use force mode (I was at ~10.3v on my battery) just simply plug it in and connect the terminals using the gator style clips and wait. It worked like a charm and I was able to charge from solar and discharge again once the voltage got back up. I’m quite pleased with this little device and its capabilities. I would recommend for the above mentioned use case scenarios 100%.

They are reliable and like that you can override to charge completely dead batteries. One of the batteries I’m charging is AGM and like that it has the chemistry specific setting for better battery longevity. Have an extension accessory on this one and all the plugs hook up fine. Considered the 2 bank 2A charger but it’s the same price to buy two of these and if you ever have to move them then they can separate from each other. Highly recommend this brand in general as I had a warranty claim on an older 1A charger and they were great to work with
