Looks good but width isn’t 5 inches – The bags look good on my bike and serve the purpose I need. However, the product description says the bags are 5″ wide. Maybe true if you stretch them out on the sides, but I measured the bottom where it can’t stretch and they’re almost exactly 3″ wide. Also when I received them some of the buckles were already tarnished. The buckles should be coated with an oil to prevernt tarnishing during shipping.

Nice bags – These are really nice leather bags I got with a coupon also for under $30, cannot complain. They look very old school on our street bob which is the look we wanted. We have somewhat darker brown seats so I did darken these bags some by using a brown leather paint, mixing with leather conditioner and lightly wiping on using a rag and they came out perfect, like they were made that way. If they were more expensive wouldn’t have done it but I wanted them to match better. They are a little smaller but we don’t mind that having a smaller motorcycle and I sit on the back passenger seat and didn’t want anything banging my legs. I can get more into them then they look including a rain jacket and some other things. Saddlebags made of leather were many many times more this price anywhere I looked.

Don’t get me wrong, the bags are good and seem to be made of good quality materials. If you’re looking for something smaller for your bike, this is it, but this is not what I needed. I was too busy to return so I will not give it a 1 star, but the description didn’t prepare me for the small package I received.

Simple and easy additional storage with a vintage feel – The saddlebags provide good value for storage of small light items such as documents, disc lock, and bike chain. The leather is somewhat thin but appropriate; don’t assume it’s thick as glove or jacket leather. It does have a distressed look; time and use will weather the bag and add texture and patina. I inserted a plastic magazine rack in each to hold its shape, especially while on the go. So understand that the size of these bags have the profile of a standard magazine; no bigger. I reinforced the mounting straps with shoelaces to ensure stability. I chose the position to cover the mid side panels, because my rear turn signals are custom mounted to the rear suspension; the bags do not impede my leg position, but it will impede the passenger’s. In all, it’s a damn good deal as most saddlebags are either fake PU leather, or pretty damn expensive.
