You can lock your helmet bag with your helmet too !!! – Great versatility…Locks up and installs up on any full size crash bar. Bought two for left and right to carry two extra helmets in a helmet bag…YEAH THATS RIGHT—You can put your helmet in a helmet bag ( a good one) and attach the bag with with the “welded shut” chin strap “O” ring slightly out of the bag and lock both to the bike….The “U” swing out locking bar can accommodate both helmet & bag carrying handles too…!!! The lock itself is super sturdy and needs special tools ( to mount – “provided”) so anybody who intends to run off with this lock or helmet better get a BIGGER HAMMER !!!

Designed for fairly large bars. You might need some shim material. – While there were few options for mounting this on my new KLR I was able, finally, to mount it on the right side grab bar by the seat. It will keep the helmet up high on the seat and secure. But the opening size is designed for a larger bar/pipe than the KLR was equipped with. I used a piece of garden hose as a shim. It’s a nice lock with two good keys. Any lock is only good if a thief is lazy or understands that a helmet without a strap is worthless.

A nice secure way to lock anything to a 1” diameter bar! – The product design is great. Can easily be attached or unattached to a bar in under 2 minutes with nothing more then an included Allen wrench. The product is installed around the attachment bolts making them unattainable to tamper with and the lock and keys are more intricate then most inexpensive helmet locks allowing a better sense of security. Best lock I have found for the money and nothing better then leaving that helmet behind so your not looking silly with it on your head or in your hands when not with a bike.

Works very well – You will never beat the price and quality . I mounted it (easily) on my lower handlebar out of the way. Easy to use. Reliable. No more sitting my helmet on the seat trusting no one to take it. They say a lock is for honest men. But a lock is more for my peace of mind.

Does the job – Clearly not a very secure lock, but i pulled on it a bit and doesnt break open, should discourage a quick grab and go with your helmet aslong as its not some multi hundred dollar helmet someone really wants, can probably be broken with a hammer easily, also wrap teflon or electrical tape around the frame before mounting.
