Great product for use as pillow speakers! – Okay, I didn’t buy these speakers for their intended use, so I can’t attest to how they work as actual helmet speakers. When I was a kid I had this flat speaker that went in my pillow so I could listen to music as I fell asleep, without anyone else hearing it. As someone who’s suffered from insomnia throughout my life music has often played an important part in helping me to relax.

Great product for use as pillow speakers! – Okay, I didn’t buy these speakers for their intended use, so I can’t attest to how they work as actual helmet speakers. When I was a kid I had this flat speaker that went in my pillow so I could listen to music as I fell asleep, without anyone else hearing it. As someone who’s suffered from insomnia throughout my life music has often played an important part in helping me to relax.

Works! – I give this BT helmet speaker system 4 stars because I have not fully test ridden the system as where I live, it’s winter. It was fairly self explanatory as far as installing it inside the helmet. It took me about 1/2 hour to install. One has to remove the cheek pads (they snap in & out for cleaning) It was a breeze to pair/connect to my BT source. The wiring neatly tucked behind the cheek pads, a very clean install with very little slack. My main objective is to listen to tunes/audio books while riding. I don’t & won’t use the boom mike for phone calls. Once the BT connects, I move the boom mike off to the side & set the volume on the BT source & I am good to go. Sound was surprisingly good but I don’t know how well it will sound once I am cruising on the road 55+ mph. I am sure it won’t sound like high fidelity stereo audio but it’s better than nothing. That will be determined in the Spring ’23 I will try to update that next year. My helmet is a HJC-IS-Max II Modular helmet.

First thing to point out is that the instructions can be a little confusing if you are the kind of person who wants the right side on the right ear. The Microphone boom is attached to the RIGHT speaker. Please make sure that you have that understood before installation.
