Nice added protection – This is a pretty loud alarm. Nothing too crazy. In a city it’s more for shocking thieves than you hearing it and must be used with a pressure sensitive alternate alarm because it will not stop someone from just picking up the bike and putting it in a truck but for regular average thief who wants to just roll your bike away this will do the trick. No fuss simple instructions and the orange cord really does help you remember not to attempt to drive away with it still on. It was delivered with free one day shipping and thankfully it came early in the morning because I needed it immediately. It comes with battery already installed and an extra set for when those run out. the battery pack is a plastic holder with six small circular AG 13 batteries. Overall great addition and added protection for city or if you have the need to lock up your kids bike until they get that homework done.

Great little Lock/Alarm – This is a heavy duty little lock. The pin slips right through one of the holes on your front disc, push in the lock, it chirps and goes off if anyone shakes the bike and prevents it from being rolled away. Between this and the handle bar lock, the only way the bike is being moved without setting off the alarm would be to physically pick it up and even then it would probably set it off. Just a level of protection that’s nice to have when parked in certain areas or overnight where it would scare off anyone messing with your ride.
