It does what it says – I wish the pitch of the alarm higher and the alarm was louder. It’s loud but, the person trying to take my bike should never forget a high shrill of an alarm! For the money? No complaints

Good lock, alarm not very loud – Although the alarm on the lock is not very loud, the lock functions as intended. If your bike is in a loud environment, and someone tries to remove the lock, the alarm will probably not get much attention. I gave four stars out of five only for the alarm not being very loud. Good lock otherwise.

Monotonous – Yea it’s loud and easy to use, however if you’re going to be using your bike everyday it’s a pain in the Behring to bend down everyday to use. Better then it being stolen I suppose though. It is sensitive to touch and easy to lock to brakes.

good – couple bikes stolen where i park mine, some tampered with so i got this on my harley, lock my fork as well (can be broken but takes few tries and draws attention)works good.locks and unlocks great. sturdy. very sensitive. i commute with my bike, alarm goes off by closing my garage door, alarm goes off when parked next to other bikes due to their exhaust, or passing cars. i took batteries off. works good otherwise. thieves rather take a bike that doesnt have one, one less obstacle but if they want your bike they will take it, just dont make it easy. recommend it, id add two if i could get some with the same key. only $20

Deterrent for those that think they need your bike more than you – I recently purchased an e-bike spending more money than I ever thought I would on a bike. The bike shop had an alarm lock similar to this for twice the price. When I found this unit I decided it was time to add to the anti-theft efforts (strong locks and obvious parking location). I am pleased with the purchase.

As good as the ones they sell for 80$ as far as I can tell. – I use this in San Francisco on my 170cc scooter disk brake. Anytime Im out riding and make a stop to go into a store or something this goes on the bike. It’s cheap and it works. Other reviews have stated that its too sensitive but I haven’t experienced that problem. You have to try and move the scooter or touch the lock itself for it to start giving you the warning beeps. The only thing the lock won’t stop is if someone wants to pick up my scoot and throw it into a truck and drive off with this alarm going. But I have theft insurance for that 🙂
