A+ For Yamaha Kodiak 700 – These hand guards are fantastic and are very reasonable in price! It took me 45 minutes to install because I played with them to figure out the best way to install. If you have a Yamaha Kodiak then look at my pics close and that should help you with your install. Don’t over tighten or you will snap something and then be pissed off lol Good luck!

Not Bad. Needs a few tweaks. – Installed these on a 2000 YZ426F with decent results. I did have to do some slight bending to match the mounts and bars. I did this in a vice and it was really easy, a little bend at a time until it was right. The hardware for the bar ends sucks. I had to recess with a 14mm drill bit, looks decent but not as nice as the high end stuff. After install, my son decided run the bike into the wife’s truck in the rear quarter panel and leave a dent in the shape of the guard itself. They only had a minor bend which I took back out. My wife’s truck was not so lucky. So I will say that they will probably stand up to a decent trail ride considering they stood up to a accident already. I would recommend for the price but will need some work to look nice. Enjoy.

Good… for the price. – These are cheap, not barkbusters by a long shot, however they held up in a low speed crash. Had I kept my hands on the bars they would have saved me from a nasty arm break. (I didn’t… Instinct made me try to brace my fall with an outstretched arm as my bike lowsided… Bad idea… I shattered my elbow and dislocated the forearm. But that was my own fault. They protected my handlebars just fine.)

Get what you pay for – UPDATE: After a second tangle with an immovable object (tree) on the right side this time, I’ve decided that the plastic 7/8″ bar adapters cause a LOT of problems. They don’t allow the bar clamp to get a good grip. When the handguard takes a hit from the front, that clamp slides, letting the guard bend. If you’ve got a 7/8″ bar, get some metal adapters and these guards will work a LOT better. The bar end clamps have the same problem. The material is so soft, it doesn’t grip the inside of the bar well. So, you get what you pay for – But, they have saved my levers twice now – just required bending afterwards to be usable.
