Don’t push in with finger – use a rubber mallet and tap it down. – I bought these to plug the ugly little threaded holes left open when switching to bar end mirrors on my 1979 Yamaha XS1100. These did the trick just fine. They are aluminum with a small rubber grommet O ring. It was a tight fit and pressing by finger would not work, so I used the handle end of my Harbor Freight rubber mallet and tapped them in. There’s not much to them and the ones on Revzilla were also 10.00 but appeared to have a logo etching.

Does not fit Ducati Monster+ – I purchased these after swapping my stock mirrors on my new Monster+ for some bar ends. These plugs did not fit the bike. I did have some Rizoma reservoir brackets on there so that may have contributed to it not holding. The plug would not go down all the way flush with the bracket and when I pulled it out, I noticed the rubber O-rings were destroyed (probably after being pushed down through the threads). The plugs look great, but what good are they if they don’t work. I ended up getting some actually threaded plugs from another seller on Amazon (M8 x 1.25) and those worked great. Just tossed these plugs in the trash.

2011 Street Triple R – Used these to fill the holes left behind by removing the factory mirrors. Helps prevent rust and improves the look of the bars by making them look finished.

Easy, sensible, and attractive. – Many of the other caps reviewed, mentioned getting scuffed while installing with a wrench or the like. These just screw in finger tight. The rubber washer keeps it tightly threaded and watertight. They have a thin top, so the caps are hardly noticeable. Perfect solution!
