Loose strap – I wanted to try tap again at home. I ordered a size too large because I know tap shoes run small. Half sizes would be extremely helpful in these the 12 was a little too big. The shoe has great sound and proper placement of the taps. The straps on the top were too loose I had to poke an extra hole to get it tight enough to secure the shoe.

Sized up and almost perfect – I’m normally a true size 10, but after reading lots of reviews I sized up to 11.5. They are comfortable. I’m trying to decide if they are slightly too big. With the straps on the tightest position, they’re still a little loose and my heel can come up a tiny bit. They are very cute and the bows are removable. The upper is artificial leather.

Order 2 sizes up to get it right. – We had to try 3 different sizes before we found the right one. We had to go up 2 full sizes to get it right. First try was waaaaaay to small at one size up. Then the second try was too large. Third try we got it right. The shoes are very nice once you figure out the right size.

Bow was not attached out of box – For my granddaughter that wanted loud shoes, so I can’t comment from a dance shoe perspective. Was disappointed that one of the bows was not properly attached. There were none left to get a replacement, so a glue gun had to be engaged. Probably will have to fix again. But I’ll have a happy 6yr old with loud shoes.
