Great value – Way less expensive than factory keys.

Don’t use for seat lock – they will bend – Had these cut when I got them a few months ago. Work great for starting bike but if you apply too much torque to them like when removing the seat they will bend. Get name brand blanks (e.g. ilco) and save yourself the hassle

Works but have limitations – Looks like OEMS but material is lighter, no big deal given the price. After you get it cut by lock smith, functionally it works fine EXCEPT on my Yamaha Stratoliner, the key does not work with the steering lock function where you have the push the key down and turn to lock. After some investigation, I discovered the slotted channel on the key stops ~5mm short of the plastic while the OEM the channel goes all the way to the plastic. It must be that shorten channel that prevents the keys from pushing down to turn the steering lock. I confirmed this by using a dremel to extend the channel and then bingo, it works with the steering lock. Not hard to do, but of course doesn’t look perfect when hand dremel’ed.

It works – You can definitely tell the keys are not made of the same quality of the factory key, but they work. I couldn’t go to any of the big box chain stores to cut it, they wouldn’t let you bring your own blanks in. I had to go to a local locksmith. They seem to work fine and I like the other colors.

Works great. Easy to keep the different bikes straight now. – Red bike and white bike… easy to keep the keys straight and work fine.

Looks like OEM. It’s not. I had trouble cutting the keys – Extra key

Gotta have an extra – When I bought my current motorcycle it was used and only had one key. So for me this was an easy decision. These keys were a direct duplicate of the original. All I had to do was take them to a locksmith and have them cut from the one I had… easy- peasy, even the shipping was fast would do business here again in the future.

Keys work but quality leaves a little to be desired. – I bought these to have them cut to use on my 09 Yamaha Royal Star. Had a local locksmith cut them and they work perfect. My only complaint is there is some type of epoxy sealant over the Star logos and the quality control for that is very poor. One key has none over the logos (looks perfectly fine and my original key doesn’t have it so it looks proper). The other key has a bubble of epoxy over the logo (also looks fine) but on the other side of the key, the epoxy covers the star as well as flows out over more of the head of the key and which makes it look very sloppy. Obviously this doesn’t affect the function of the key as it’s purely aesthetic but bugs me none the less. Would have been solid 5 stars if it wasn’t for this.
