Bad fit – This cover is exactly the same dimensions as a CA lisc. plate. So, the cover’s outer edge will rest on the outer edge of the plate, all the way around, no overlap. Even if you chose to cut the lisc. plate down a bit, all around the edge it still would not rest, -inside- the cover, as the cover’s bolt holes are not recessed at all, but set up to be flush with the plate, with its edges just resting on the plates edge. It will provide protection from frontal bug splats, and rock chips, but, rain and dust will go right into it. It would have been so much better had they made it just a bit larger, overlapping the plate so as to allow the lisc. plate to fit INSIDE it, with slightly recessed bolt attachments also, so as to have the plate inside, not just up to and touching the frontal surface of the plate.

You take a chance . . . – A bit too small and not a perfect fit for Washington state license plates . . . but it’ll do. I placed my chrome license plate frame over the clear, plastic shield, followed by my license plate, and attached everything to my vehicle’s mounting plate — as depicted in the visual instructions. I’ll have to see if water settles in between my license plate and the clear, plastic shield. Fingers crossed this won’t happen.

I now own two different color covers. I definitely should be liable to purchase another to match the most recent. These covers need to be purchased in pairs to get the same color and batch.
