▶ This 1” ball mount base accommodates round rails 0.39”(10mm) / 0.47”(12mm) / 0.55”(14mm) / 0.63”(16mm) in diameter. Suitable for mounting on motorcycle rear-view mirror frame & mini handlebar.
▶ Package comes with three rubber ring inserts to provide a snug fit and protection of the mounting surface. Rubber ring pads diameter: 0.39”(10mm), 0.47”(12mm), 0.55”(14mm). You can add or remove them depending on the size of the rails. When the rubber ring inserts is not embedded, the diameter of the mounting base is 0.63” (16mm).
▶ The ball base utilizes rubber-insert and lock-bolt to prevent loosening in high vibration for mounting to rear-view mirror frame as well as motorcycle & bike mini handlebars and other round rails within the stated dimensions.
▶ Main body made of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy for durability and reliability in the most demanding environments. CNC integrated molding, smooth surface and solid body. TPU over-molding ball head, with anti-slip performance.

Worked well for my application – Mounted using mirror screw. Would not work in applications, such as some scooters, where the bottom of the mirror stalk is covered by a rubber/plastic shield.

Best solution for me – I tried a few different RAM adapters to mount a Garmin GPS on my Honda Silver Wing. I also considered the type that mounts on top of the hydraulic brake reservoir, but this one works best, along with a short arm, which puts it in a position that’s easy to see and doesn’t block any instruments on the dash. It’s also the simplest of all RAM mounts to install, and doesn’t vibrate as a couple of others did.

Works great – Works great with Ram Mount items. With the one screw hole it can pivit but I may be able to fix that with a lock washer of some kind. Think the Ram Mount version is designed the same way.
